Hi! I'm Mari B. (aka 'The Inappropriate Homeschooler'). I began homeschooling our daughter, Punky, in the fall of 2009 when she was in the 2nd grade. Living in the deep south, where religion rules, I was not homeschooling for religious reasons nor would I use religious materials/curriculum. That, combined with my sense of humor and my mouth, made me 'inappropriate' to homeschool.
Since that time, I have done what I can, when I can, how I can to help give secular homeschoolers a voice and a standing in the homeschooling community and beyond.
